Ultherapy Treatment

Ultherapy utilizes revolutionary technology to lift skin in hard-to-treat areas. Nonsurgical ultrasound technology is used to help boost collagen production and tighten the skin. Ultherapy uses the safe, time-tested energy of ultrasound to stimulate the deep structural support layers of the skin, including those typically addressed in a surgical facelift, without disturbing the surface of the skin.

Noninvasive Skin Lifting and Tightening

You can achieve a youthful, rejuvenated look without surgery or downtime. Ultherapy doesn’t involve any foreign substances or radical changes, just a healthy revving-up on the inside for a natural, noticeable effect on the outside. This procedure is commonly selected to target the following areas:

  • Eyebrows
  • Under the chin
  • Chest

A known facelift alternative, Ultherapy is an excellent procedure to consider even if you’re under 30. Anyone seeking to address skin laxity should speak to Dr. Kinsley to learn more about the unique benefits of this treatment.

How Does Ultherapy Work?

Ultherapy can be used to counteract the effects of aging by targeting areas beneath the skin with focused ultrasound energy, using the right temperature to support collagen regeneration. Dr. Kinsley will aim the applicator’s heat energy at different depths, affecting three layers of the application site: superficial wrinkles, skin, and muscle. By stimulating elastic tissue and collagen, Ultherapy helps yield firmer skin and minimized wrinkles and other signs of aging.

Ultherapy Preparation, Procedure, and Post-Procedure

Extensive preparation is not required on the patient’s end before Ultherapy. You should remove all makeup and residue from skincare products from the target area before arriving for treatment. Regular eating, drinking, exercise, and work routines can be maintained before and immediately after the procedure. A single Ultherapy session typically lasts between 60 and 90 minutes, and many patients may notice a short-term “boost,” but the natural process of creating new, more elastic, collagen typically builds over time. Over the next two to three months, the results will further develop, and some patients have reported continued improvement for up to six months, including lifting and tightening of the skin on the neck, under the chin, along the jawline, and on the brow. While the procedure does not duplicate the results of surgery, Ultherapy has proven to be an inviting alternative for those who are not yet ready for surgery.

Ultherapy provides a solution for patients who want to target stubborn wrinkles and folds without an invasive procedure. Elizabeth A. Kinsley, MD has provided personalized care to patients throughout the Northshore area by providing professional insight and a female perspective to address concerns about inquiries women have about cosmetic procedures.
